I grew up in Taiwan, studied photography in Australia, shot my first couples in Ireland, and ended up living in the Canadian Rockies, which is a long way of saying I've been following light and people for a long time.

我在台灣長大，大學開始愛上攝影。最初是被街頭的光影和構圖迷住，後來去澳洲讀了攝影，又輾轉到愛爾蘭開始接案——在旅行和打工之間，我慢慢發現，吸引我的從來不是技術本身，而是鏡頭後面那個人，還有鏡頭前面那兩個人之間的某種東西。
後來我移居加拿大，定居在洛磯山脈旁邊。山很大，人很小，但人與人之間的那份情感，在這裡反而看得更清楚。
我相信值得被記錄的，不只是婚禮當天、不只是「重大時刻」。搬家前的一杯茶，山林裡一束溫柔的光，週二晚上隨意的沙發自拍——這些都是真實生活的紋路，也是最難複製的東西。
我做過口譯，到現在還在做翻譯，因為我喜歡聽故事。每一對來找我拍照的人，都帶著一個只屬於他們的故事。我的工作，是讓那個故事被看見。
拍照的時候，我覺得自己在發光。
I'm Robin, a bilingual photographer (English and Mandarin) based between Banff and Lake Louise. I work with couples who want their photos to feel like them, not like a photoshoot.
I've spent years as a translator, and I think that's why I'm good at this. I've always been more interested in what people are really saying than what they're supposed to say. The moments I care about aren't always the obvious ones, it's the quiet right before you walk toward each other, the way you laugh at something only the two of you find funny, the version of yourselves that only shows up when nobody's performing.
I hold a Parks Canada permit to photograph in Banff National Park and Lake Louise. If you're planning a trip and want to bring something home that isn't just a selfie in front of a lake, I'd love to hear about it.
